HACKATHON – University of Connecticut

Pentation Analytics and UConn Center for the Advancement of Business Analytics (CABA) organized Hackathon that focused on customer retention in insurance. Customer retention has been a business use-case across the global insurance scenario, wherein a lot of developmental effort has been put, but the problem remains intact. The problem statement for the participant students read “Insurance customer retention insights through dashboards”. Students were given P&C Insurance carrier data, both structured and unstructured. The participation in terms of student turnout was overwhelming, and it was very interesting how the teams approached the problem. In addition, seeing data from their eyes was an amazing and enriching experience. As for the participants’ experience, we hope that the inputs provided by our team during the presentations would help these talented students to bridge the academic-Industry gap. Know More
